Celebrating 25 years of building Safe neighborhoods...
Safe & Sound was founded in 1998 upon the work of Milwaukee’s Youth Crime and Violence Task Force, Senator Herb Kohl, Milwaukee Mayor John Norquist, and U.S. Attorney Thomas Schneider. The focus was reducing violent crime in Milwaukee communities and among youth by blending partnerships with law enforcement, community organizing, and youth development. While our scope of work has expanded over the last 25 years, our commitment remains the same. Our mission is to unite residents, youth, law enforcement, and community resources to build safe and empowered neighborhoods.
